Arbor Vita Corporation is pursuing a comprehensive patent strategy to ensure maximum protection for commercial applications and activities emerging from its laboratories. To date, the company has submitted more than 90 patent applications covering its platform and target identification technologies, specific methods for modulating disease, methods and compositions for diagnosing disease, and compositions of matter. AVC has been granted several United States and foreign patents on its proprietary methods for PDZ screening, diagnostic methods and kits, and compositions supporting various technologies. The company has licensed its screening technology to Affymetrix, to manufacture and sell arrays of PDZ proteins for R&D purposes only.
